How to Air Fry Breakfast Sausage Links
To make breakfast sausage links in air fryer you need just 15 minutes of your morning! The first few minutes is to preheat the air fryer and get the sausage links ready, and the rest of the time is for the links to cook.
Preheat your air fryer at 400F for 3-5 minutes.
Place the breakfast sausage links in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
How long to cook breakfast sausage links in air fryer?
Cook the breakfast sausage links in your preheated air fryer for 8-10 minutes on 400 F, until they’re browned to your liking. We took ours out after 9 minutes.

Substitutions
- Our family’s favorite brand of breakfast sausage is Johnsonville, but any grocery store brand of sausage will work for this recipe.
- This recipe will work for both fresh sausage links and frozen. To make air fryer frozen sausage links, just add a couple of minutes to the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches at least 165 F.
Variations
- You can make any variety of breakfast sausage links in your air fryer including maple, cayenne, and regular.

- AIR FRYER NOTE: If you have a basket style air fryer that doesn’t allow you to spread out your sausage links and allow room for air circulation on all sides, we do recommend you flip your sausages after 5 minutes to ensure they cook completely.
- For best results allow your air fryer to preheat before adding in your sausage links.
- Since the sausage is a high-fat food, you’ll want to make sure your fryer is clean on the inside, or else you could end up with the dreaded white smoke problem when the grease hits the bottom of the fryer.
- Raw sausage links will need to be cooked to an internal temperature of 165F.
