How to Air Fry Garbanzo Beans
Making homemade roasted garbanzo beans is so simple, you are going to wonder why you didn’t start making this healthy air fryer snack sooner! We are going to season the drained beans with oil and garlic salt, place them in the air fryer, and then roast them until they are crispy and delicious (about 16-minutes). That’s it!
Temperature
Preheat an air fryer to 400 F for 5 minutes.
Drain the can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans) and rinse them. There’s no need to blot them dry with paper towels cooking them in an air fryer.
Spread the can of chickpeas in the bottom of the air fryer basket. Make sure they are in a single layer. If you have a small air fryer you might only be able to cook ½ a can at a time.
Air Fryer Garbanzo Beans Cooking Time
The total cooking time for the recipe will be 16-17 minutes.
Cook the chickpeas for 5 minutes at 400 F and then shake the basket to stir the beans around. Continue cooking for 5 more minutes in the air fryer.
Remove the chickpeas from the basket and place them in a medium-sized bowl. Add the olive oil and garlic salt and toss to combine. Pour the seasoned chickpeas back into the air fryer and air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until they are crispy to your liking.
Remove the roasted air fryer chickpeas and add more salt or another seasoning to taste.
Serve and enjoy!
