Cooking smoked kielbasa sausage in an air fryer is as simple as slicing the Polish sausage pieces, tossing it in the air fryer, and cooking through until warm and browned. Serve as a main dish or as an appetizer with mustard and toothpicks.
Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
While the air fryer is heating, prep the Polish sausage by cutting it into 1-1 ½" sections.
Add the sausage to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Don't crowd the pieces or stack them as it'll be harder to get them crispy. We used our smaller air fryer and were still able to fit an entire package of sausage in there!
You'll be cooking the sausage for a total of 8 minutes, flipping after halfway. The sausage is technically cooked through after 4 minutes, but if you want it brown and crispy, keep air frying it for longer!
Notes
Feel free to add sliced onions and peppers to the air fryer to make this a one-dish meal.
The recipe cuts the kielbasa in 1- ½" pieces, if you make yours larger it could take the air fryer smoked sausage longer to cook.
Spacing the sausage out will help every piece to brown evenly.
You don't need to add any oil or seasoning since kielbasa is pre-seasoned.
Any brand of kielbasa will work, or you can try turkey kielbasa for a lighter cut of meat.
If you just need to cook kielbasa to be used in another recipe and don't really need it brown and crispy, feel free to add more than one pack and just shake the basket every few minutes until heated through to at least 160 F.
