Air Fryer Frozen Potatoes (Diced Potatoes O'Brien)
Enjoy precooked frozen potatoes in the air fryer for either breakfast when topped with fried or poached eggs or for dinner as a simple side dish. Buying healthy frozen foods makes weekday meals a snap!
Add the precooked frozen diced potatoes to the air fryer basket, making sure to spread them out in an even layer. How much you'll be able to cook at one time will depend on your air fryer capacity.
The air fryer frozen home fries will take about 12+ minutes in total to air fry. Cook them for 6 minutes on one side and then shake the basket or flip the diced potatoes over before continuing to. Cook them an additional 6 minutes, or until they're heated through and browned. In the Cosori they were cooked through after about 8 minutes but we cooked them longer to crisp up.
Serve with eggs on top for breakfast or for dinner as a side dish. Enjoy!
Notes
The recipe was tested using a Cosori XL 5.8 QT air fryer, half a bag (about 12 oz) of frozen diced home fries potatoes were able to fit in the bottom of the air fryer. You'll need to cook the potatoes in batches if you want to make the entire bag.
Trader Joes brand diced frozen potatoes with peppers and onions were used in the recipe, feel free to use whatever your favorite store bought brand is! Another popular brand is the Ore Rida Potatoes O'Brien.
Air fryers can vary in watts, the Cosori has 1600 watts. If your air fryer basket or air fryer oven has less or a higher amount of watts the potatoes could take more time or less time to cook, correspondingly.
If you skip preheating your air fryer, the recipe could take a little longer to cook.
